Halo 5 Guardians is a first person shooter game, that was developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios. This game was released on October 27, 2015. Halo 5 Guardians’ Plot follows two fireteams of supersoldiers; Blue Team, led by Master Chief and Fireteam Osiris, led by Jameson Locke.

Halo 5 Guardians Gameplay

Players are experiencing most gameplay through the eyes of a playable character. The camera switches to a third person view for some gameplay sequences. The game preserves many features of the Halo franchise’s gameplay. New features have been added: such as being able to aim down sights on all weapons and “ground pounds“.

New to the series are Spartan Abilities, that replace Armor Abilities. In-universe, the characters’ MJOLNIR armor has been upgraded with thrusters that allow them increased mobility options. They can be used both for evasion and attack.

In Halo 5, player is equipped with a persistent fireteam of non-player character Spartans, who accompany the player at all times. The player may give them orders. If any Spartan, controlled or not, takes too much damage, they enter an incapacitated state and a teammate rush over and revive them.

Halo 5 Guardians doesn’t feature any offline capabilities, it also doesn’t have any local networking options.

Halo 5 Guardians Plot

Fireteam Osiris (Locke, Buck, Vale and Tanaka) is deployed to the Kamchatka to extract the rogue Dr. Catherine Halsey, who claims to have information on a series of devastating attacks on human worlds. While the team is successful in retrieving Halsey and eliminating the leader Jul ‘Mdama, Halsey informs that a new threat is about to emerge.

Master Chief leads Blue Team (Kelly, Fred, Linda) on a mission to secure a research station. They are unable to do so and scuttle the station instead. During the sabotage, the Chief receives a message from Cortana, directing him to the planet Meridian. John and Blue Team disobey orders, forcing Captain Lasky to list the rogue Spartans as AWOL. This event causes costernation, as Halsey believes that Cortana’s survival makes her unpredictable and untrustworthy.
